Designing the development model of native-local sports in Iranian society

This research was formed with the aim of designing the development model of native-local sports in Iranian society. Based on this, this research was conducted using the qualitative method and using the foundational data theory. The sampling method was done in a targeted manner with 25 sports management professors and experts of the Rural and Nomadic Sports Federation and up to theoretical saturation. Data analysis was done in three stages of open coding, axial coding and focal coding. In order to confirm the correctness of the concepts by referring to Creswell and Miller's (2000) validity measurement criteria, a review was done by the interviewed members, by a colleague and in a collaborative manner, and the validity of the interview was confirmed. The results showed that the proposed research model consists of 33 core categories that were obtained through the combination of about 180 primary concepts. Based on this, the development model of native-local sports in Iran is formed as a central category based on causal conditions such as socio-cultural responsibility, development and strengthening of education, development of competitive-sports field and administrative-media management. It is achieved through the strategies of creating sports houses, developing human resources, supporting women's sports, financing, providing facilities, training coaches and strengthening talents, and realizing the consequences of reducing socio-cultural harms, increasing public participation, preserving cultural authenticity, and promotion of local identity, preservation of ecology, promotion of motivation to stay in the village and transformation in leisure time.
