The pattern of underlying factors of the feeling of social insecurity based on violent events

In this regard, this research seeks to answer these questions: What is the pattern of the underlying factors of the sense of social security of the citizens of Tehran according to the news of recent violent events

In terms of purpose, the present research is applied, from the point of view of the nature of the data, it is mixed or mixed (qualitative and quantitative). In the qualitative part, semi-structured interviews with 15 experts related to the issue of dealing with violent crimes within the Faraja organization in Tehran and professors, elites and intellectuals related to the issue outside Naja were used in a targeted manner until theoretical saturation was reached. Survey method was used in the quantitative part. In the quantitative part, the statistical population including all the citizens of Tehran using Cochran's formula, 535 people were selected by cluster and stratified sampling method and the questionnaire was distributed among them. Then, in order to finalize and verify the dimensions, components and indicators of the model, the content method was used in the qualitative part.

The research findings in the qualitative part showed that the areas of insecurity can be divided into four areas: life, moral and psychological, financial and honor. Also, the results of the research in the quantitative section showed that 54% of the respondents feel insecure in the moral and psychological field, 52% in the financial field, 43% in the honor field and 34% in the personal field.

Increasing heavy punishments such as execution and retribution, deprivation of social privileges, increasing cash crimes and conducting extensive and targeted psychological operations in the media and social networks from the measures taken in order to deter and reduce crimes and violent events can increase the sense of security in the society.
