this study aimed to compare the effectiveness of methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) Methadone maintenance treatment (MMT) with acceptance and commitment therapy based on self-awareness and consumer anger control in drug user. This quasi-experimental methods and the pretest-posttest control group was used. The target population included all individuals associated with opioid therapy MMT centers in Tehran. A group of 40 people selected by sampling method in two experimental and control groups were impressment here. Experimental group a combination of methadone treatment (MMT) based on acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) received in 10 sessions. In the control group only program for methadone treatment (MMT) were receiving. For data collection anger Asplbrgr test (2- STAXI) and the scale of consciousness (SCS) was used. Through statistical analysis, multivariate covariance data were analyzed. Results showed that the mean scores of self-awareness, public and private, experimental and control groups in post-test there are significant differences, the findings showed that the mean scores of the components of anger management control and experimental groups in post-test, there were significant difference. So it can be concluded that the combination of methadone treatment (MMT) based on acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) as compared to methadone treatment program (MMT) to increase self-awareness and control of anger and outrage outside and also reduce the outflow and the anger people drug was more effective.
