Designing a comprehensive talent management model with a career planning promotion approach (Case study: Islamic Republic of Iran Navy)

The present study aimed to design a comprehensive model to promote career planning by talent management in a military organization with an exploratory mixed approach. The statistical population of the qualitative section consisted of experts; to know their comments, 12 interviews, were conducted. In the quantitative part, the statistical population consisted of 186 senior, middle and operational managers, and the sample size through stratified random sampling is 125. Data was collected in the qualitative section by the semi-structured interview method. The quantitative sector also was done by a researcher-made questionnaire. Face validity and content validity (0.67) were examined and confirmed by summarizing the advice of experts and the confirmation of the reliability of the questionnaire by Cronbach's alpha test (0.77). The data have been analyzed using the structural equation model and Smart PLS and Spss softwares. The results of the qualitative section show that in talent management, the performance management parameter with a factor load of 0.229 among the parameters extracted from the talent management variable; And in the career planning, the parameter of staff maintenance with a factor load of 0.917, had the most impact. The results of the quantitative section indicated a significant effect of talent management on the promotion of career planning in the study organization.
