Investigating the effects of weekly markets on socio-economic development of rural areas of Somehsara city
Weekly markets are one of the main methods of change in development that can make a fundamental change in the function, body, production, employment and ultimately socio-economic changes in the regions. In the past, due to various problems, including the passage of villagers, which today has decreased with the help of road development and congestion of vehicles, and to meet the needs of urban and rural settlements with the aim of exchanging goods, including surplus products consumed by villagers and provided goods. And strengthens the economy of rural society and improves the relations of rural areas with cities and regions. The purpose of this article is to study the social and economic effects of weekly markets. The study method is descriptive and analytical which has been collected by library and field method. The market size is weekly and the sample size is done by Morgan standard method and the sample size of 297 people is randomly selected and a questionnaire is completed. The results showed that the market plays a very important role in employment for villagers in these markets as sellers. And generate income for the villagers, especially homeless women who have no income and no expenses, and strengthen the diversity of product production in order to supply these markets. The social effects of the weekly markets can prevent the migration of villagers to the outskirts of cities for a living, He mentioned cultural communication and exchange, increasing the awareness and information of the villagers.
