This study examines the theodicy of protest discourse in Attar’s Musibat-Nama. The theodicy of protest is one of the essential theories in suffering and tribulation, which holds God responsible for their existence in world, asking Him to remove them from human life. In Attar’s Musibat-Nama, the insane sages’ protest to God about their sufferings and calamities can be observed.
