The present study aims to investigate the relationship between job stress and the intention to leave the job and early retirement by investigating the mediating role of job satisfaction in nurses.

Finally, after collecting data, SPSS software version 18 was used for analysis.
The results of this study showed that there was a significant negative relationship between effort-reward imbalance with job satisfaction and a significant positive relationship with the intention to turnover, but no significant relationship was observed between effort-reward imbalance and the intention to retire early.
