A Look into the Personality, Background, and Activities of Mahmoud al-Sarkhi in Iraq
One of the enemy's methods to undermine Islam is sectarianism and exacerbating conflicts among Islamic sects. The formation of Takfiri and Wahhabi groups, along with support for Shia extremists such as the alSarkhi sect, are among the measures pursued by Western countries in line with their anti-Islamic policies. This research, conducted using a descriptive-analytical methodology and library research, aims to introduce and critique the personality and ideas of Mahmoud Sarghī. The investigations have revealed that al-Sarkhi is a socially and morally undesirable individual. Politically, he is affiliated with the Ba'ath Party in Iraq and has a record of multiple betrayals. He lacks proper religious education and has no scholarly or academic background, which undermines the significance of his ideas. However, to gain a better understanding of his personality and deviant movement, some information has been provided.
