The Role of Archival Organizations' Investment in Social Capital on the Archivists’ Performance
To investigate the role of archival organizations' investment in social capital, on the archivists’ performance and commitment to the quality of archival services.
The research method was descriptive survey. The statistical population consisted of 134 archivists working in the archives of Tehran. The data was collected using Ellinger's (2013) Standard Questionnaire and analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques, SPSS and PLS software.
The results confirmed that there is a significant effect of organizational investment in social capital in commitment to the archive organization and archival service quality of the archivists. Moreover, organizational citizenship behavior has a significant effect on the job performance of the archivists. Therefore, investing in social capital in the archival organization improves and enhances the performance and productivity of the organization and improving organizational citizenship behavior increases the quality of job performance.
