Examining the Point of View of Managers of Support Organizations Towards Women Heads of Households and Their Empowerment
This research was conducted to examine the views of managers of guardian support organizations in empowering women heads of households and tried to check what are the concepts of women heads of households and empowerment based on these managers and which capabilities (welfare, accessibility, awareness) are the empowering measures of these organizations. , participation, control) and achievements (material, psychological and social) and what is the reason for this targeting and what are the criticisms on them.
This research, which was conducted qualitatively and with interview tools, showed that the definition of female head of the household contains gender stereotypes and does not include various aspects of empowerment.
The attitude of managers of tuli organizations is based on a supportive approach, not empowerment and women's guardianship has been harmed, and while ignoring women's right to choose, they tend to encourage women to leave this situation and remarry them. Emphasis of tuli organizations only It is based on welfare capabilities and material achievements, and other capabilities and achievements have been neglected or considered counter-value.
Because of this, most of the empowerment programs have been defined on the axis of employment and entrepreneurship, and other aspects of empowerment have been considered only in a secondary way, or have been completely forgotten or denied. In the empowerment programs of women heads of households, instead of targeting the society and taking action to change the space and environment of these women and the stereotypes and social relations that cause their disability, each of these women has been targeted individually.
