The Effectiveness of Transactional Analysis Training on Marriage Conflicts in the Citizens of Marriage Referring to Tehran Counseling Centers
The purpose of this study was to transactional analysis training on marital conflicts among married people referred to counseling centers in Tehran.
The research is a quasi-experimental and pre-test-post-test with control group. The statistical population of all married people had family conflicts and marital adjustment problems referring to the psychiatric services centers of Tehran. A sample of 40 eligible patients who had conflict counseling problems and family conflicts were selected and divided into two experimental and control groups (20 individuals). First, all participants completed ENRICH Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire (ENRICH). Participants in the experimental groups were treated for 12 sessions, but the control group did not receive any training. After completing the educational program, both groups were subjected to post-test. The research findings were analyzed using SPSS 24 software and statistical method including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, covariance analysis.
The results showed of covariance analysis that treatment of transactional analysis training has been effective in reducing marital conflicts.
Therefore, according to the results of the research, application of mutual behavior analysis in couples causes less conflict and more satisfaction and also improves their relationships.
