Examining the role of effective factors in the social health of students is important, because its promotion leads to the improvement of their health. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the role of forgiveness and spiritual capital in predicting the social health of students.
The current research was descriptive-correlational. The research population included all undergraduate students of Educational Sciences and Psychology of Azad Birjand University in the academic year 022-2023, and based on Gujersi and Morgan's table, 196 people were selected by stratified random sampling. The collection included Thomson et al.'s forgiveness questionnaires (2005), Chirian and Afrooz's spiritual vitality (2015) and Keyes' social health (1998). SPSS version 22 software and Pearson correlation test and multiple linear regression were used for data analysis.
The results showed that there is a significant direct relationship between forgiveness (r=0.572) and spiritual capital (r=0.568) with social health (p<0.01). Also, the results showed that the components of forgiveness explain 33.1% and spiritual vitality explain 34.1% of the variance of social health.
The results show that forgiveness and spiritual capital can play an effective role in predicting the social health of students. Therefore, teaching and promoting spiritual capital as well as encouraging students to forgive leads to improving the social health of students.
