Bashkard Cemeteries based on the First Season of the Archaeological Investigations of Sardasht-e Bashkard, Hormozgan

Archaeological surveys of Sardasht village from the central part of Beshkord city in March 2014 and April 2015 identified more than 120 sites in the form of hills, cemeteries and monuments. A large number of these sites are cemeteries from different eras from the third millennium BC to the late Islamic era. Due to the neighborhood of Beshkord/Bashagard city in the east of Hormozgan with the provinces of Sistan and Baluchistan and Kerman, the archaeological findings and ancient sites including cemeteries were similar to the findings of this cultural area. In the historical era, Cairn burial were identified, which are similar to these types of graves in the southeast and coastal strip of southern Iran and the Persian Gulf Hinterland.
