Investigating the factors in returning to substance abuse in clients to addiction treatment centers in North Khorasan province
Addiction is a psychosocial disease that causes the psychological and physiological dependence of a person suffering from these substances. The purpose of this study is to identify some factors that influence the return of drug addicts to drug abuse centers in North Khorasan province. The current research is a descriptive study in which 70 addicts referred to addiction treatment centers were selected by random sampling, the data collection tool included a questionnaire consisting of two parts: the first part (demographic information containing 9 questions) and the second part (Effective factors in substance addiction which includes individual, family-environmental and social factors which contains 18 questions) and finally the data was analyzed by SPSS software. The findings of this research show that According to individual characteristics, most of the studied subjects were aged 19-24 years. The majority of these people had below diploma education, married, unemployed and in contact with addicted and deviant friends, and also the most effective factors in drug addiction include curiosity during adolescence (individual reasons), children of divorce (family reasons), the existence of a supervisory atmosphere. Poor in school and university (environmental causes) and demeaning addicts by society (social causes) can be mentioned. According to the obtained results, it can be said that a set of personal, family, environmental and social factors, etc., causes relapse to addiction.
