This study was conducted by descriptive-analytical method, library, documentary study, observations, field interview and questionnaire completion by rangeland users. In this study, questionnaire data were obtained using the Likert scale. Criteria for each capital were analyzed. Eventually, the livelihoods pentagon achieved in the area of Qalangan rangeland.
The results showed that there is a significant difference between the different criteria of each capital. Water quality from natural capital, trusted people from human capital, social relations and cohesion from social capital, livestock and livestock production from financial and road capital and transportation from physical capital were important criteria affecting the livelihoods.
This study suggests that in future studies, the views of different stakeholders should be compared and analyzed. In addition, multi-criteria decision-making methodologies can be considered to determine important criteria.
