The relation emotion regulation and distress tolerance with job motivation Police personnel

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between emotion regulation and distress tolerance with job motivation of police officers in Bojnourd city. The statistical population of this research includes all police officers of Bojnourd city. Based on Morgan table,
148 of them were selected as sample. To measure the variables of the research, Grass’s Thriller Adjustment Questionnaire (2005),Simmons and Gaher Distress Tolerance(2005) and job motivation were used by Hackman and Oldham (1980). The questionnaires were distributed among the statistical sample through available sampling. Pearson correlation coefficient and multivariate regression were used to analyze the data. The results of stepwise regression coefficient showed that stress and distress tolerance variables were able to predict the job motivation of law enforcement personnel. Also, there was a significant correlation between the Pearson correlation coefficient: there was a significant relationship between the emotional adjustment variable and the distress tolerance variable with the job motivation of the police officers (0.5),as well as between the excitement setting and stress tolerance with job motivation.
