A Model of Factors Affecting Participation in Employees' Public Sports (Case Study: Police Command of Kurdistan Province)
This research has been done in order to develop a model of the effective factors on the participation of Kurdistan police command staff in public sports.
In terms of its objectives, this study is of an applied research type and in terms of methodology it is considered a qualitative study, which is content analysis. The statistical population consists of physical education and sports officers in the police command of Kurdistan province, who were selected as the sample, with 15 people chosen through purposive sampling method until theoretical saturation was reached. The research instrument was a semi-structured interview. Data analysis was performed using three stages of open, axial, and selective coding through content analysis using MAXQDA 18 software.
The findings show that the factors affecting the sports participation of the employees of the Kurdistan Provincial Police Command consist of 59 codes. The factors affecting the sports participation of the employees of the Kurdistan Provincial Police Command are a combination of strategic factors (human resources, policies and decisions, planning), facilitating factors (cultivating culture, supportive factors), background factors (motivational, personal factors), and organizational factors (management factors, hardware factors).
Based on the findings of this research, it is possible to create conditions for the institutionalization of public sports by using planning and focusing on influential factors on employees' participation in sports in Kurdistan Police command. This can be done through active employee participation.
