Examining the effects of liquidity performance on operational performance according to the business cycle of recession and boom

According to Irik et al.'s study in 2023, company managers are trying to strengthen their operational performance, and in this regard, liquidity performance can be one of the influencing factors, so liquidity performance and the amount of company cash on the business cycle in Periods of stagnation and prosperity also play a role and are among the variables of this research; Therefore, this study has tried to examine the above issue and answer the question of whether liquidity performance has a significant effect on operational performance with regard to the business cycle of recession and boom or not (Irik et al., 2023). The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of liquidity performance on operational performance according to the business cycle of recession and boom in companies admitted to the Tehran Stock Exchange. The research method used is a descriptive-analytical method, and historical research data was collected and classified by referring to financial statements and reports of companies listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange. The panel data method was used to analyze the statistical data; And in the analysis section, descriptive and inferential statistics and various related tests were performed and data analysis was done using Eviews version 13 software. In order to analyze the hypotheses of the research, the statistical population was selected from 2016 to 2021 for 5 years and included the companies admitted to the Tehran Stock Exchange, and the statistical sample was selected using the elimination method and the number of 112 companies. The results of the analysis showed that the liquidity performance has positive and significant effects on the operational performance according to the business cycle of recession and boom in the companies admitted to the Tehran Stock Exchange; Therefore, company managers, shareholders and investors should pay attention to the company's liquidity for better operational performance in the field of asset return and company value, especially during economic recession, and of course, during the boom period, they should strengthen the operational performance with the appropriate amount of maintenance.
