The effect of safe love schema, unstable love schema, and work-family conflict on attitudes tow-ard extramarital relationships with respect to the mediating role of emotional intelli-gence was significant. The clingy love schema on attitudes toward extramarital relationships was not significant. The results showed that work-family conflict and love schema are good explanations for extramarital relationships in working cou-ples and emotional intelligence can play a suitable mediating role.
