Abstract:

Sentences sometimes, due to the existence of some different factors, can indicate opposite meanings at the same time, in such a way that both meanings have harmony and proportion with the context of the text. The Holy Qur'an also has verses that at the same time have contradictory meanings, and this is the reason why commentators and translators differ in providing a definitive meaning for such verses. Based on the descriptive-analytical method, the present article wants to investigate and analyze the factors that cause conflicting meanings in the verses of the Holy Quran, relying on the interpretations and translations, and show that disagreement about the meanings is a sign of weakness. It is not the word of God; Rather, the level of eloquence, the structural and semantic coherence of the Holy Qur'an makes it clear to the audience; Examining these verses also makes it clear that contradiction is another factor that affects the certainty of the word.
