Determining the Viscoelastic Properties of Pumpkin with Mechanical Tests
Most agricultural products show different behavior in terms of resistance to pressure, dynamic and vibration forces. In order to extract the mechanical properties of pumpkin, including modulus of elasticity, poisons ratio, coefficient of friction, pressure, shear, penetration, stress release, and creep tests by the comprehensive stress tension device located in the biophysical properties laboratory of the Islamic Azad University, Shareza branch, in three sizes and three sample positions. Gri is done. The results showed that the creep test provided the most information for us compared to the stress release test. The properties of viscoelastic materials, including the elastic properties, were determined by the pressure test. The strain curves of the creep test showed that the sudden change in shape was very sharp with sudden and constant force actions, and after a period of constant change in shape (very small slope) and increased. The slope of this change depended on the dynamic nature. The change in shape was not sudden, but after a period of time, the change in shape was stable (low slope) and decreased. The results of the analysis of variance of the data obtained from the test showed that there was a significant difference between the types of pumpkins due to the mutual effect of pumpkins and speed, so that large pumpkins were more effective than small and medium pumpkins. It was on the grandstands.
