The competition between China and the United States in the Indo-Pacific and the Persian Gulf and its security implications for Iran

China and America, as the two superpowers of the current world, are competing and conflicting in different regions of the world. The Persian Gulf and the Indo-Pacific are among the most important platforms for this. The subject of this article is to examine this competition in the mentioned areas and its security implications for Iran. Therefore, the question of the research is what are the security consequences of the competition between China and America in the mentioned areas and what are its security consequences for Iran? The hypothesis of the research is that China and the United States are in search of hegemonic stability in various military, economic and geopolitical fields in the Indo-Pacific region and especially over Taiwan, and this in the Persian Gulf leads to security alliances between the United States and the countries of the Persian Gulf. It has led to the control of Iran and limited its ability to act. The results of the research show that the two countries, China and the United States, are in conflict over several areas, including Taiwan, and this has also extended to the Persian Gulf. However, China's approach in the Persian Gulf can be defined in the framework of the "immunization" strategy. This means that under the security umbrella of America, it is looking for economic needs. But America's goal is economic and military-security control of the region. The research method in this article is descriptive-analytical qualitative and uses library sources.
