History of Arabic Literature; A New Discovered Lecture Manuscript of Abbas Eghbal Ashtiani

The History of Arabic Literature is a manuscript no. 13402 held in the Central Library of Astan Qods. The manuscript is among Abbas Eghbal Ashtiani's lectures about the history of pre-Islamic Arab literature that has been probably compiled at Tehran University by one of his students. The content of the work cannot be found in any of Eghbal’s other works and this can be considered a new-discovered version. Editing this manuscript results in identifying the attitude of the prominent professor of history and literature towards history of literature and its components, especially pre-Islamic Arabic literature. Moreover, editing and publishing such works can result in compiling the pamphlets of great professors of the first generation in Iranian universities.
