Kulaynī’s Viewpoint and Reaction about Occultation Eventwith Respect to His Time’s Discourse

Shaykh Kulaynī, who was a contemporary of "Minor Occultation" (al-Ghaybat al-Ṣughrā) period, reacted normally and comfortably toward Occultation event as a result of his viewpoint and attitude to imamah which has been reflected in the authorship of al-Kāfī and in light of the fact that he does not refer to Imam Zaman’s Deputies. Kulaynī who is near to Hishām Ibn Ḥakam`s trend in his tendency to rationalism and believing in Imam’s accompaniment with Quran and tradition, did not worry and felt no stress because of lack of didactic access to Imam. He illustrated that "imam’s Ḥujjah" is necessary creationally, not doctrinally by establishing a general concept named Ḥujjah which includes the Prophet and Imam concepts and also, by illustrating the creational position of Ḥujjah, demonstrates this belief that the requisite of this necessity is not having direct access to imam through which he manages and responds to the crisis of inaccessibility to Imam which was many shia people’s problem.
