Abstract:
A highly efficient and sustainable procedure was described for the production of amidoalkyl naphthols using graphene oxide substituted 2-aminobenzothiazole which was activated by phosphoric acid (GO@ABTZ.H3PO4), catalyst. The synthesis was achieved using aldehydes, 2-naphthol, and acetamide (or urea) in the presence of catalyst through a one-pot three-component process without solvent. This eco-friendly catalyst managed to efficiently proceed organic synthesis processes. The proposed catalyst exhibited several advantages including cost-effectiveness, being non-metallic, providing green and environmentally-benign conditions, easy storage, facile handling, and durability. Moreover, the applied procedure has several priorities such as short reaction times, solvent-free conditions, simple work-up, and high yields. The stability and recoverability of the catalyst were also examined in five cycles which showed no considerable loss of activity.
