Moral Leadership and its Dimensions and Constituents: A Look at the MOE’s Central Administration
To identify the dimensions and components of moral leadership, as viewed by the top MOE’s administration, a group of 14 experts in cultural and educational administration was carefully and purposefully selected and then interviewed. Additionally a group of 21 senior administrators with extensive experience in the ministry were also interviewed on the subject and the basic concepts identified. The interviews were semi-structured and yielded five dimensions and 31 components for the moral leadership. Using the data collected through a questionnaire both the impressionable and influential components were identified. Personal morality is the most impressionable component, while institutionalization of religious rituals, moral behavior, and emphasis on competency among the most influential components.
