Explaining the Relationship Between Social Capital and Job Performance in Iran by the Meta-Analysis Approach: Researches in the Period of 2010-2020
The effect of social capital on job performance is not a secret. So far, especially in the decade of 2010-2020, many articles have been done in this field, And it has had different results. For this reason, the primary purpose of the research is to explain the relationship between social capital and job performance in Iran: researches from 2010 to 2020 with a meta-analysis approach.
The current research method is meta-analysis and its tool is reverse questionnaire. Its statistical population is 11 studies, which were selected by purposive sampling of 27 survey documents from 2010-2020. The validity and reliability of the research were controlled, and their effect size was estimated using the Cohen and Fisher formula.
The findings showed that the size of the overall effect of social capital on job performance is moderately large, i.e., 0.467, and due to the heterogeneity of the studies, the qualitative variable "type of statistical population" was included as moderating variable in the calculations. Based on the findings, the university community's career performance is more affected by social capital than the non-university community.
ToTo enhance job performance in different organizations, a double effort should be made to promote social capital. This is achieved by practical communication training, improving communication, increasing interactions between employees and managers inside and outside the organization, and creating a culture and atmosphere entire of cooperation, mutual trust, teamwork, and partnership between organizations.
