Investigating the Role of Cultural Consumption on the Identity of High School Students in District 5 of Tehran

The present research is written with the aim of an investigating the role of cultural consumption on students' identity. Bourdieu's theories have been used to formulate the theoretical framework of the research. According to the nature of the topic, the survey method (descriptive-explanatory) has been used to explain the research question. The statistical population includes the high school students of District 5 of Tehran and the sample size of this research was estimated using Cochran's sample size estimation formula and with a confidence factor of 95% to the amount of 384 people by random sampling method. In addition, SPSS statistical software and Pearson's correlation test were used to determine the relationships between the components in order to analyze the data. The research results show that there is a significant relationship between cultural consumption and social, individual and national identity.
