Analyzing the approaches of neighborhood-oriented planning and community-oriented regeneration

In recent decades, attention to the two categories of neighborhood-oriented and community-oriented regeneration of communities in planning according to the current facilities and conditions has increased among urban planners. Neighborhoods, as a small region that has its mechanisms, requires special planning and planning. The purpose of this research is to review two approaches of neighborhood-oriented planning and community-oriented regeneration. The research method is descriptive-analytical. To collect information, library, documentary, and digital sources have been used. The results of the research indicate that there is harmony between the two approaches of neighborhood-oriented planning and community-oriented regeneration of urban communities. In such a way that the category of paying attention to the wishes and needs of everyone is raised as a basic and decisive principle in both approaches. Participatory planning, public education/education for social change, and asset-based development are considered the most important basic theories in the neighborhood-oriented planning approach. Also, strategic planning based on the landscape determined by local communities, Reaching a general agreement resulting from the cooperation of neighborhood communities, and finally, the participation and leadership of interest groups in the process of urban regeneration are determined as the most important components of community-oriented urban regeneration. In general, it can be said that today's urban planners must take advantage of neighborhood-oriented management and also recreate urban communities based on a community-oriented approach with the cooperation of local management components (local people, local investors, group local authorities, and local planning officials) to think of solutions to achieve democratic urban societies.
