A Curriculum for the Professional Excellence of Professors based on Challenges of the Academic Well-Being
This research was carried out with the aim of identifying the challenges of well-being among faculty members for Nil, the curriculum of professional training of professors of Payam Noor Fars University in the form of an applied-developmental research with blending. In the first phase, using the qualitative method of theme analysis, the challenges of academic well-being were identified in order to develop a curriculum for the professional excellence of professors. The participation of faculty members of Payam Noor University of Fars province was continued with a purposeful method including the sampling process until reaching theoretical saturation (20 interviews). A semi-structured interview and a questionnaire were used to gather the views of the respondents. The research studies indicated that well-being could be examined in the form of increasing challenges in the four axes of challenges related to teaching, research, counseling and social evaluation. Among the examined challenges, the professor's personal interest in teaching and research, students' academic progress, creating a sense of confidence in students, and the existence of suitable conditions and facilities had the highest priority.
