Investigating Selected Rhtorical Features in Sanai Ghaznavi's Poems in the Verse of Amiralmo'menin's Figure of Speech True Guardianship (A Case Study of Proverbial Antonyms, Restriction and Contraction)

Hakim Sanai Ghaznavi, as shown by his works, was a poet who cherished the Ahl al-Bayt (the family of the Prophet) and believed in their guardianship. The subject of guardianship, testament, and authority of Imam Ali (A.S) has been reflected in Sanai's poetry multiple times and in various rhetorical ways. The specific choice of rhetoric and linguistic composition in Sanai's poetry, aimed at showcasing the authority and guardianship of Imam Ali, has a direct connection. In this research, among the rhetorical techniques and approaches, two rhetorical strategies employed in Sanai's poetry that highlight his intended meaning are analyzed through a descriptive-analytical method. The results of this analysis indicate that among the various rhetorical techniques, proverbial antonyms, restriction and contraction, which Sanai often employs in the form of metaphorical confrontations, stand out more prominently for creating harmony between the literary form and the meaning of the text compared to other rhetorical devices. This research elucidates that Sanai's use of these rhetorical devices is in line with his belief in the guardianship of Imam Ali, allowing him to convey his belief in the authority and status of Imam Ali more clearly and decisively to the audience, thus establishing a meaningful connection between the form and content of his poetry.
