Prediction of public health based on Islamic lifestyle, interpersonal forgiveness, with the mediation of mindfulness in working women
Women are considered half of the human resources in human societies and are themselves the most important sources of development. Examining mental health in women is of particular importance. This research was conducted to determine the fit of the structural model predicting public health based on Islamic lifestyle, interpersonal forgiveness, with the mediating role of mindfulness in working women in the railway industry.
The nature of the research objective is applied, and the research method is descriptive-correlational and based on structural equation modeling. The statistical population was all working women in the railway industry nationwide in 2022, and a sample of 200 individuals was selected using simple random sampling method. The data collection tools were the Goldberg General Health Questionnaire (1989), Brown and Ryan Mindfulness Questionnaire (2003), Interpersonal Forgiveness by Ehteshamzadeh (2009), and the Islamic Lifestyle Scale by Kaviani (2009). The data were analyzed using structural equation modeling and SPSS-26 and Amos-18 software.
The results of the research showed that Islamic lifestyle, interpersonal forgiveness, and mindfulness have a direct effect on the general health of working women in the railway industry. Furthermore, the indirect effect of Islamic lifestyle and interpersonal forgiveness with the mediating role of mindfulness on working women in the railway industry was confirmed.
Based on the results of the current study, designing effective psychological interventions to prevent mental disorders and improve the general health of working women with the content of Islamic lifestyle and training in mindfulness and forgiveness by psychologists, counselors, and in collaboration with counseling centers is recommended.
