The Effect of Controlled Exercises of Central Stability Muscles on the Improvement of Non-Specific Chronic Low Back Pain

Abstract:

Chronic back pain is one of the most common problems in thehealth field, and finding a suitable treatment plan for the fasterrecovery of its patients has always been considered. The aimof the present study was to investigate the effect of centralmuscle stability exercises on the improvement of non-specificchronic back pain. The research was a semi-experimental typewith a pre-test-post-test design with a control group, and forits implementation, 30 people with non-specific chronic backpain were randomly assigned to two experimental and controlgroups, 15 people each. The experimental group underwentcentral muscle stability program exercises for 10 sessions. Theresults showed that the pain of the treated group decreasedsignificantly in the post-test phase (P<0.05). From the findingsof this research, it can be concluded that muscle stabilityexercises have a great effect in reducing the pain of patientswith chronic back pain. Therefore, it is suggested to considerthese exercises in the treatment plan of patients with chronicback pain.
