Investigating the Effect of the Amount, Duration and Type of Internet use and National Identity on Students of Shiraz AzadUniversity

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectof the amount, duration and type of Internet use and nationalidentity in students of Shiraz Azad University

The present study was applied interms of purpose and survey method in terms of researchmethod. Questionnaire tools were also used to collectinformation. The statistical population includes all students ofShiraz Azad University, which according to the statisticsobtained from the education of Shiraz Azad University is equalto 19619 people. In order to determine the sample size,Cochran's formula was used and according to the sample sizecalculations, 380 people were determined. Data analysis wasperformed using Spss statistical software and in this regard,statistical tests appropriate to each hypothesis were used to testthe hypotheses. Among the tests used are Pearson correlationtests and one-way analysis of variance.

The results showed that there is a relationshipbetween the duration of Internet use and national identity(three dimensions of value, emotional and belief) of students.Conclustion: Also, there is a relationship between Internet useand national identity (three dimensions of value, emotionaland belief) of students. On the other hand, the researchhypothesis that there is a relationship between the type ofInternet use and national identity (three dimensions of value,emotion and belief) of students is rejected
