Survey Emotional Intelligence the English Language of Chabahar Students:Monolingual, Bilingual and Gender Rol
The purpose of this study was to survey the emotional intelligence course in secondary school students in chabahar city.
This research is descriptive and causal-comparative. The statistical population of this study were consisted of all secondary schools in chabahar in school years 2014-2015. For this purpose, a sample of 240 students were selected by using of the stratified sampling method (120 Persian and 120 Baluch). Data collection was done by Shat and Mallouf's (1998) Emotional Intelligence questionnaire. The collected data by Independent t-test, variance and multivariate stepwise regression were analyze the data using spss software.
The findings of this study showed that there isnot significant difference between monolingual and bilingualthe students’ emotional intelligence and their gender, but, There is a significant difference between monolingual and bilingualthe students’ emotional regulation and their gender. And emotional regulation of bilingualthe students’ was higher than monolingual students’ and female students had level of emotional regulation and emotional assesssment.
The results of this research showed that the emotional intelligence of male and female students is significant and the average score of emotional intelligence of female students is higher than that of male students.
