Analyzing the Role of Contemporary Conditions in the Difference between the Judicial Conduct of the Prophet and Imam Mahdi
According to the Imamiyyah perspective, after the departure of the Noble Prophet, peace be upon him, the explanation and propagation of the teachings of the Prophet have been one of the affairs of Imamate and has been defined around the axis of the Prophet's conduct and tradition. One of the most important affairs and duties of the Prophet of Islam was to implement judgments based on apparent evidence, like arguing based on witnesses and evidence; however, some narrations in Shia sources indicate differences and contradictions in the judicial conduct of that Prophet with the judicial conduct of Imam Mahdi, peace be upon him, in the end times. Given the special features of the governance of Imam Mahdi, peace be upon him, such as the abrogation of taqiyyah (precautionary dissimulation) and the differences in circumstances and exigencies of the time, it is possible to remove the differences of the traditions by a compilation of traditions highlighting the differences in the judicial conduct (apparent ruling and hidden ruling) and consider the method and conduct of Imam Mahdi. (pbuh) to be inspired by the Prophetic conduct. In this study carried out through an "analytical-descriptive" approach, an effort has been made to examine the meaning of conduct, categorize the narrations in this regard, delve into the related narrations, and clarify the two modes of governance and the resolution of existing contradictions.
