Abstract:

Epics are literary works on the heroes of a nation and show their ideals in the best possible way. A Shahnameh, attributed to Moharrami, is an epic written in a style similar to that of Ferdowsi's Shahnameh. This study tried to see where and when the Shahnameh attributed to Moharrami was written, what textual features it has, and in what aspects the Shahnameh has followed Ferdowsi's Shahnameh. This study adopted as descriptive-analytical method and used library resources. The comparative study focused on the text of the Shahnameh attributed to Moharrami and introduced it. It then examined its impact from Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh. Finally, the rhetoric and aesthetic issues of the work were explored. Malek al-Shoara Bahar mentions “Moharrami” or “Mojremi andKashf al-Zhonoun mentions the name of a poet called Moharrami. Moharrami holds the linguistic and literary traditions of Khorasan in his descriptions and praises. Many issues clearly show that the poet has directly followed Ferdowsi. Among the issues are: Enormous use of the characters and heroes, the use of words and expressions specific to Shahnameh, and following Ferdowsi’s style in his description of the scenes and characters.
