Documentary Analysis of the Khorasan's Veiled Women (Chadori) Cultural Movement during the Islamic Revolution (1340-1357)
In the victory of the Iranian Islamic Revolution, different classes of people played a role. Women were prominent among the societies who participated actively and simultaneously with men in the movement of Imam Khomeini and played an important role in spreading the revolution in cities and villages. The question is how the women of Khorasan with the movment that Imam Khomeini since 1340 he had started it they came together and what roles did they play in the victory process of the Islamic Revolution? The used library method is based on archival document and unpublished documents, newspapers, magazines and ther sources. This research based on archival and published documents, and considering the cultural approaches of the Islamic Revolution, avd using a descriptive-analytical approach, tries to examine and analyze the position of Khorasan’s women in the Islamic Revolution of Iran. The findings of the research show that the revolutionary women of Khorasan had a prominent presence in the important political events of the Islamic Revolution in Khorasan by participating in secret political and religious meetings, attending street marches, distributing Imam's leaflets, and participating in strikes of the of religious leaders’ offices, the establishment of Sisters seminary and efforts to free political prisoners so that the word "Chadori Women's Movement" became prevalent in the documents and reports of Khorasan’s SAVAK. In the last years of the Pahlavi regime, the demands of the religious women of Khorasan underwent fundamental changes and they made the return of Imam Khomeini to the country and the establishment of an Islamic government their main goal. A government whose independence, freedom and respect for the rights of all people were among its indicators, and it was emphasized many times in slogans.
