Improving the image of business in informal settlements with a skill-learning approach: a case study of Sanandaj city
Informal settlements are one of the main undesirable consequences of cities, which bring informal life for cities in the physical dimension. The purpose of this research is to determine the role of technical and vocational training in improving the image of business in informal settlements. The research method is descriptive with a survey approach and the statistical population includes all professors, experts, specialists, and people who have experience and activities in the sector of informal settlements. Based on sampling and using GPower software, 231 people were selected as a statistical sample, a researcher-made questionnaire with validity and reliability was distributed among them, and the data results were analyzed in two descriptive and inferential sections. The findings indicate that technical and vocational training will lead to the empowerment of women and the trend will be towards home based businesses in informal settlements. Also, providing skill training, in the field of entrepreneurship and business and skills related to technical management and recovery, can lead to effective results in improving the product delivery status in these areas. The results indicate that skill training and providing technical and vocational training is one of the solutions to improve the image of jobs and reduce economic poverty in informal settlements, which requires more cooperation and convergence of organizations in the development of the skill training system in this sector.
