Presenting the Development Model of Injury Prevention Environment (Case Study: Sports and Fitness Clubs)

Abstract:

The aim of the current research was to present a model for the development of an injury prevention environment in gyms. This research was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of method, and its data collection was done through a survey. The statistical population of the research included elite athletes, coaches, managers, and deputies of bodybuilding and bodybuilding boards of Isfahan province, experts related to this field, and sports management professors. The sample consisted of 168 people, and the data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. The content and form validity of the designed questionnaire were confirmed by 10 prominent professors of sports management. Also, to measure the reliability of the questionnaire, it was distributed to 30 sample people, and after collection, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.91, indicating good reliability. To analyze the data, Friedman's test and confirmatory factor analysis of the second order were used in Lisrel software. The results indicated that four indicators are related to the component of checking the level of control and evaluation of tools and equipment, 9 indicators are related to the component of establishing social security, 6 indicators are related to the component of the instructor's knowledge of the dangers and use of illegal drugs, and 11 indicators are related to the physical and structural status component of gyms. The results of the Pearson correlation test also showed that all the correlation coefficients are positive and significant, indicating a significant relationship between the factors influencing the development of the injury prevention environment in bodybuilding.
