Abstract:
Introduction

Increase in the number of elderly people, especially among women, and decrease in the amount of physical activity and exercise in this population group in Ahvaz, indicate the need to address the effective factors in the exercise of elderly women based on appropriate indicators in this city.

Methods

This research is "descriptive-analytical" in terms of methodology. First, an initial list of key and explanatory variables of elderly sports was extracted from the sources and background of the subject, and then the Delphi method was used to complete these variables and prioritize them. The statistical population of the present research are experts and specialists (including professors of physical education and sports management, experts of the directors of the general department of physical education of Khuzestan province, women sports officials of the province, female athletes and researchers in the field of sports for the elderly in Ahvaz...) Lack of theoretical framework and lack of sufficient knowledge of the number and characteristics of the statistical community, and also considering the nature and purpose of the research and the sampling method, which is mainly based on the qualitative-exploratory and expert-oriented approach, the number of 40 experts was considered as the sample. The FAHP model was used to analyze and prioritize the factors influencing the exercise of elderly women in Ahvaz.

Results

Based on the findings of the research, in the identification of indicators, according to the experts, various effective factors were categorized in the form of social, cultural, personal, family, environmental and spatial factors. The analysis of the priorities of the influencing factors in the sports of elderly women in Ahvaz city from the perspective of the research experts showed that social barriers and then cultural barriers were placed in the first and second priority and "social and cultural barriers" as the two main barriers in sports elderly women in Ahvaz. The criteria of personal barriers, family barriers, and environmental and locational barriers have been in the third to fifth priority according to experts and experts.

Conclusion

According to the results of this research, cultural and social factors are the most important obstacles in the development of sports for elderly women in Ahvaz city.identification of indicators, according to the experts, various effective factors were categorized in the form of social, cultural, personal, family, environmental and spatial factors. The effective factors in the exercise of elderly women in Ahvaz, from the perspective of the research experts, showed that social barriers and after Those cultural barriers have been placed in the first and second priority and "social and cultural barriers" have been chosen as the two main barriers in elderly women's sports in Ahvaz city.
