Identifying and prioritizing factors affecting organizational vitality

Abstract:

This study was conducted to identify and prioritize the factors affecting the vitality of Water and Sewerage Organization at the Ahvaz Province of Iran. The research approach was mixed (quantitative and qualitative). In the qualitative part, we selected 15 experts from  the Ahwas Water Company employees and interviewed with 12 of them based on the theoretical saturation. In the quantitative part, we selected 187 Company’s employees by simple random method based on the Cochran’s formula who had a bachelor’s degree or higher. Through interviewing, the dimensions, components and indicators were identified. For validity of the study, Cohen's kappa coefficient was used. In the quantitative part, the face and construct validity were used to check the validity of the questionnaire. The analysis of collected data of questionnaire was done in two parts: descriptive and inferential. In the inferential part, after analyzing the theme, hierarchical analysis was used for prioritization. According to the weights of the main factors, intra-organizational, extra-organizational and social factors were assigned the first to third priority respectively. Also, according to the weights of psychological factors, demographic, behavioral and professional factors `s growth of employees were assigned the first to third priority respectively.
