The effect of mindfulness on academic life with the mediating role of family functioning Among Sixth Grade Students

Abstract:

The present study was conducted with the aim of the effect of mindfulness on academic life through the mediating role of family functioning among sixth grade students. The research method was applied in terms of objective and descriptive data collection was based on structural equation modeling. The statistical population included all the sixth grade students of Arak city in the academic year of 2022-2023 in the number of 6000 students, and using the Kerjeci- Morgan table, 382 students were selected as a sample by systematic sampling method. To collect information, questionnaires of academic vitality (Dehghanizade & Chari, 2012), mindfulness (Baer etal, 2006) and family functioning (Epstein etal, 1983) were used. The structural equation modeling method was used to analyze the data and examine the causal relationships between the variables. The results showed that mindfulness on academic vitality (0.231), mindfulness on family functioning (0.677), family functioning on academic vitality (492) had a positive and direct effect, and mindfulness on academic vitality with a mediating role of family functioning. (0.333) has a positive and indirect effect.
