Mughniyeh's interpretive approach to the rights of men and women in the family
Mohammad Javad Mughniyeh, one of the Lebanese modernist commentators, has used a social approach to explain the verses of the Qur'an, based on adapting the Qur'anic teachings to the needs of society and solving social problems. Observing some shortcomings in Islamic societies, especially the legal issues of men and women, he presented them in the Qur'an and sought to solve the problem and establish the correct relationship. In this study, Mughniyeh's perspective on the personality of men and women and their rights in the family is discussed. Mughniyeh does not distinguish between men and women in terms of human nature and value before God. In explaining the rights of men, she tries to pay alimony, family management, polygamy, men's rights when a woman is not divorced or divorced. In explaining the rights of women, he also pays attention to the recount of the most prominent women's rights, such as dowry, fiduciary duty, obedience to the husband and the right of women to the inviolability of men. Mughniyeh, in explaining these issues, pays attention to solving social problems; But his solution, along with adhering to the appearance of Shari'a and not deviating from the courts of the Book and Sunnah; Hence, his interpretation can be considered social, with a traditional-modernist approach.
