Strategies for promoting the culture of self-sacrifice and martyrdom by analyzing the theme

In all human societies, there are values that form the main foundation of that society's culture. The purpose of this study was to promote the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom among students using a qualitative approach. In this research, a qualitative research method based on thematic analysis approach was used. The statistical population of this research included all martyrs and veterans of eight years of Holy Defense, based on the purposeful sampling method, a semi-structured interview was conducted with 11 martyrs and veterans until theoretical saturation was achieved. In order to ensure the validity of the tool, experts' opinions were used, and to ensure the reliability of the data, the review method of non-participating elites was used. The results of the qualitative findings of the research show that the explanation of the concept of sacrifice and martyrdom, simplicity of life, students' role models, appreciation of the martyrs and martyrs' families, explanation of the historical events of sacrifice and martyrdom, and anti-corruption from the society are among the ways to promote the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom among scholars.
