Abstract:

A sign is a study tool that comes up after the text and is used during the analysis of the text; Architectural representation has found its methods in giving order and meaning to signs; Therefore, in order to analyze the meaning of signs in architectural texts, it is necessary to use the concepts that make it easier to understand the representation; used The main purpose of this article is to explain the semiotics of various types of architectural representations based on the relationship of their symbols with a comparative analysis between the views of two prominent researchers on the theory of semiotics, that is, Charles Sanders Peirce and Ferdinand de Saussure. The data has been obtained using the technique of content analysis of various studies in the field of semiotics and related topics. The results show that semiotics explains the representations of architectural works as a medium to produce meaning and form. It is expected that this article will make a positive contribution in emphasizing the importance of semiotic theory, not only for the promotion of semiotic epistemology, but also for other researchers and academics in related fields or specific fields.
