Abstract:
Subjective Humanism as the central core of Western modernity is a coherent system of various philosophical components, and with its cultural domination, it is infiltrating other societies and traditions. It is necessary to examine the specific position of Islam regarding its ideas as well as the different views of this religion on the position of man. This article, written with a descriptive-analytical method, aims to address this issue by emphasizing the views of Ayatollah Khamenei. Modern humanism, in its main views in the fields of epistemology-methodology, ontology, anthropology, and values, has a deep distance from Islamic teachings and viewpoints, and this type of humanism is rejected from the Islamic point of view. However, it seems that in Islamic education, we are facing a special model of humanism, which, of course, is different from modern humanism in all its important philosophical foundations, and it can be called theo-centrist humanism. Each of these two different views on human beings in the political and governmental arenas has specific requirements, and it must be said that Ayatollah Khamenei's special political discourse, i.e., religious democracy, is also based on the theo-centrist humanism, which can be explained. Also, these two models of humanism in the humanities have different fundamental results, which have a positive and negative impact on the current state of these sciences.
