Shiite Hadith Experts and a Critique of the Hadith on the Alleged Distortion of the Qourān

It is a firm belief among all Muslims, including the Shia, that the Qorān is authentic and free from any distortion. Invoking some hadith, opponents of Muslims claim that the Book has been distorted. This article examines such a collection of hadith, and the reasons behind their dissemination, emphasizing the authenticity of the Qorān as a unifying belief among all Muslim denominations. Signs of shallowness, extremism and hostility towards the Shiite faith can be traced in such claims.
