Development Should Not Remain a Dream

Dr Rohani argues in his speech that the realization of our dream to become a developed country is possible only when development transforms into a national goal. In our country, the 20-year vision plan clarifies that Iran must be considered a developed country within the next 18 years, ranking first in economic, scientific and technological fields at the regional level. Of course, reaching this goal requires political and economic stability. It also needs the enhancement of capital market. Some economic researchers believe that capital accumulation was the driving force of scientific, industrial and economic revolution during the 17th and 18th centuries in Europe. Therefore, financing important projects in the field of industry and infrastructure, especially in oil, gas and petrochemical industries is of great importance.
