Flood Control in Golestan Jungle

There have been loss of life and property in east of Khorasan and Golestan Jungle after occurring floods in 2001, 2002, and 2005. After that, the authorities of North Khorasan and Golestan provinces carried out many projects for preserving pastures and aquifers in this area.The author tries to find subjects about the rivers which ended to Golestan province in the existing records for helping to restore and revival of Golestan Jungle. He saw a report on Jajarm, Samalqan and Qazi Orifice's flood that was used for providing wa­ter for private estates. In this report, prepared in 1940, there are some matters about geology, water reservoir, agricultural situation, roads, the executive expenses of project, and finally economic revenues of this project. The author hopes this article has ap­plied uses.
